After School Meltdown... This Is How Our Day Went

Today started off with a good mood day. My son got up around 5:30-5:40 area. My husband was already awake so he spent some time with him. That helped my son out. He ate some of his cereal. So his usual breakfast. He went to school in a good mood, stayed dry the whole time and even got off the bus in a good mood. His mood changed when I told him no on him taking the toy train that belongs to one of the neighbors kids and he started to get upset, threw the toy train (it still works) before biting me in the arm when I picked him up to take him inside.

I had a great start this morning, I even managed to get all caught up on the dishes which is a huge accomplishment because I have been super distracted with everything else. So all I have left to do is finish up the rest of the dishes which is basically anywhere from 2-5 dishes then I won't have to worry about that.

My son is in trouble now because we have always told him no biting. I even bribed him with his own toys if he left the train alone. Then he asked for his own toy train. The only train thing he has is the Thomas the Train tent thing in our closet for him. He doesn't get toys or TV for the rest of the day. Biting is wrong even if he is upset. Biting someone else is definitely wrong because they were trying to get him to stop something when they asked. I have a small bruise on my arm now from where he bit me. Thank heavens I had my jacket on to protect my skin.

He is currently eating some cereal with peanut butter and already had a cup of milk. He will be going down for his nap early and not be allowed to go near his toys until his father says otherwise. We have taught him not to hit anyone and taught him not to bite anyone. He may have been upset but, there is a better way of showing that which he already did by screaming and crying out loud.

Anyways, don't forget to keep your head up, take a deep breathe, you got this and always keep your coffee cup full. You are going to need it.
