Yesterday Was Chaos..... Today was better

Today has been so much better then yesterday. I found out I am neurodivergent as my BHC (Behavioral Health Councilor) told me. I can get tested but finding the right neuropsychologist in-network with the health insurance is a struggle. Before that appointment was my son's IEP conference at his school. That was very interesting. A lot has happened and finding out that he is doing very well in school is nice to see/hear.     From all of that, I was drained just being around other people, having to talk with other people. I did however get some cooking done. After that I spent time with my husband while my son was asleep at his bedtime. He has been having no nap days.     Today, I got a lot of cleaning done while my son played. I did spend some time with him while I was going through a lot of clothes. I found a full garbage bag worth of clothes that he does not fit in anymore. Now all his clothes fit in the small dresser. I even organized my clothes...

Shopping Trip, Allergy Stuffed Nose Toddler

Today, it has been a good day. Found my kiddo asleep on the floor in his room which he is able to sleep better because of his allergies. We also went shopping trip today and found out that my son loves to push the shopping cart around the store and it helped wear him out. We got a new toaster. Our old one finally died after a few years of living here.     He is down for a nap now. I am happy that he is asleep. The nap will help him get better. What he ate today though, is his normal cereal. That has been his breakfast slash lunch meals for some time now because he is picky. He did however have some mac n cheese for his part of lunch.     We managed to have a good day all around which helped everyone stay calm and keep the good mood going.     As always: Keep your head up, take a deep breathe, you got this, always keep your coffee cup full.

Fun Day At The Park As A Family

Today has actually been a really good day. I got to sleep until 5:50AM today. That told me it would be a good day. I even started to track my steps and my calories while taking care of my son. Staying healthy is better to take care of him then being sick and having no energy. Anyways, I had my normal cup of coffee and a half egg sandwich. My son had two bowls of cheerios with one bowl of peanut butter. I am actually planning one day to make peanut butter cheerios breakfast bar to see if he would like that. It is a no bake recipe which is amazing for me.     As the title says, we had fun at the park, a full family thing. My son who has been afraid of the slide finally went down the slide a total of 10 times. He was having fun. He was running around, chasing after a ball to get his energy out and let him have fun. It was and still is a good day. He is currently down for a nap which I am very happy about.     He is though dealing with some pretty ba...

Better Start With My Autistic Son..... Rougher Morning For Real Life Mom Day.

Today has been a lot. My attention span has not been the best. I did however get some money to get laundry done so that is a plus. I did manage to get some time to myself this morning before I had to get my son off the bus. He had a good morning and so did I. The mood went down hill when I started to feel rush and my kiddo wouldn't sit still long enough for me to finish getting ready.     Yesterday, when my husband got home, he dealt with my son about the issue he did. We have been working on getting him to stop biting people or things again. I still have a small bruise on my arm from his bite. He also got grounded for the rest of that day with no TV and no toys. He did not have a good night last night. He did however wake up in a good mood early in the morning.     What he all ate today is Cereal for breakfast and lunch. He tried to eat Mac N Cheese but that apparently did not go well with his taste buds. I had to get on to him about repeating w...

After School Meltdown... This Is How Our Day Went

Today started off with a good mood day. My son got up around 5:30-5:40 area. My husband was already awake so he spent some time with him. That helped my son out. He ate some of his cereal. So his usual breakfast. He went to school in a good mood, stayed dry the whole time and even got off the bus in a good mood. His mood changed when I told him no on him taking the toy train that belongs to one of the neighbors kids and he started to get upset, threw the toy train (it still works) before biting me in the arm when I picked him up to take him inside.     I had a great start this morning, I even managed to get all caught up on the dishes which is a huge accomplishment because I have been super distracted with everything else. So all I have left to do is finish up the rest of the dishes which is basically anywhere from 2-5 dishes then I won't have to worry about that.     My son is in trouble now because we have always told him no biting. I even brib...

I Tried Changing Our Morning Routine... Nothing Changed

This morning was a bit different. My son woke up on his own at 5:40AM which is not that far from when I wake up to when I wake him up. He stayed dry all last night which I was proud of. I had him use the bathroom when we got downstairs so he continued staying dry. He had maybe two small handfuls of his cereal, but that was it for eating. He ate at school which is okay. He also had a cup of milk at home so at least I know he had something in his system. Had him use the potty a couple of time before he got on the school bus.     I found out that my neighbors daughter also goes to the same school as my son, so now I have someone I can talk with at the bus stop every morning and afternoon, well at least 2 days a week which I am good with. After he got on the school bus, I got back home, snuggled with my husband to warm up and spent some time with him before making us some breakfast. My husband had leftovers and I made myself a fried egg sandwich with a turkey patty (...

It Took Everything Just To Get Him To School This Morning

This morning started off as any normal morning, except today my son went back to school. I got up at 5:50AM but fell back asleep for 10 minutes without realizing it and woke up at the 6AM alarm. I did my normal morning routine before getting my kiddo up. He didn't put up a fight today. He didn't eat a lot of breakfast but, he went to school without a fight. I think he honestly missed it.     My husband asked me to get his meds from the doctors office because they have a pharmacy there, which helps a lot of people. I sped walked there and back which caused me to be out of breath before I did my TikTok video. It doesn't currently have a lot of views but that is okay. I managed to get set up with TikTok Live so I will be doing that as well. I may not get a lot of viewers, but I am not going to be too disappointed. This will be my first live for all of this.     Now, my son is back from school. He left home with his backpack and came home without his...

He Woke Up Happy Today... I Didn't Expect This

So this morning actually turned out to be a good morning. My son woke up in a good mood. I even got cuddles in this morning and he stayed dry all night. We have been doing our best to potty train him and get him to wear underwear more then pull-ups. For those who understand, pull-ups are getting expensive, even the small packs/boxes. He has even figured out a way to use the potty without having the toilet lid up all the way. He is almost all the way healed down there so we don't have to worry too much anymore.         I am still in a good mood. What my son actually ate today is two bowls of cereal. One bowl of protein cheerios and one bowl of KIX. Yes, that is how it is spelt. I will be needing to brush his teeth before we head to his dental appointment which will be a pain in my royal butt. He does not sit still and they are going to be getting X-RAYS done on him to see his teeth better. He has some pretty straight teet...

This Morning Was One of Those Days...

So as many of you have noticed we have good days and bad days. Today seems to be a bad day. My son woke up in a good mood but as soon as he didn't get the TV show he was apparently pointing to he started to have a bad attitude towards me for the rest of the morning. It is not even afternoon yet. I didn't even have my glasses on so I couldn't even see what he was pointing at because he loves to stand in front of the TV. We can't see what he is pointing at because of that and he thinks we can see right through him to see it.     What he ate this morning is this: 1 bowl of protein cheerios and 1 bowl of plain cheerios. He also had 1 bowl of goldfish. That is what he ate this morning. He got one movie and I even attempted to let him play with his toys but he said no toys and started crying. I wouldn't let him play on the gate where it is hiding a whole in the wall that we have been patching up. So he lost his toys and is now just playing with his stuffed anima...

Easy Pancake Breakfast for Picky Toddlers (Simple Family Meal)

So I got up at my normal time today and I was still very tired. The reason behind it is because my husband woke up at 3:30AM and my son got up at 4:10AM. That was not easy on me. My husband made pancakes this morning for me and my son. That was a nice surprise for me. Also he got my son to eat some pancakes. The way he made it he actually liked. Pancake, peanut butter and protein cheerios together. He ate half of it.     He had chicken nuggets for dinner and the rest of his breakfast for lunch. For my breakfast I got two pancakes, two fried eggs and a cup of black coffee mixed of my coffee and his coffee. That actually kind of put me to sleep even more. Today has been a pretty good day for me and a some what good day for my kiddo. It has been a long day but it is almost Monday. Now on Monday my son has a dental appointment and I already know that will not go well.     I got a couple of walks in today which felt nice. My son got to spend some time...

Getting My Toddler Ready For School (Morning Routine Tips)

As the title suggests, I am preparing my son to return to school on Tuesday. He goes on half days which is good for him. Gets him out of the house for a few hours and allows him to be around other kids while having fun. He has been out of school for 2 weeks healing from surgery. Now those two weeks have been tough. Now that his healing weeks are over he can go back to school.     Today, he ate his protein cinnamon Cheerios and had at least 2 cups of milk. He has also had one bottle of water today. That was only for breakfast. For lunch, he gets Mac n cheese which may be dealing with food burnout which is a real thing for Autistic kiddos. I always offer him different foods to eat. He always tells me no.     I am going to share my recipe for making homemade Mac and cheese. Start off with a medium pot, add water and a pinch of salt. Let the water boil. Once boiled add in the elbow pasta. Let that boil softly stirring occasionally so the noodles dont ...

How I am Building a Morning Routine With My Toddler

<script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3284938032076114" crossorigin="anonymous"></script>          Waking up early isn’t always a walk in the park. I’ve started rising at 5:50 AM to carve out just 10 precious minutes for myself before waking my son at 6 AM. Once the day kicks off, it’s all about the routine. I brew my black coffee and prepare breakfast for my husband while getting my son’s meal ready. He has three cereal options: Protein Cheerios Cinnamon, Plain Cheerios, and Kix. More often than not, he opts for the Protein Cheerios, which is great since he could use the extra protein. He’s been a picky eater since he was little.      His go-to foods include cereal, homemade mac and cheese, a slice of block cheese, peanut butter, goldfish crackers, and on very rare occasions, some candy or animal crackers—oh, and let’s not forget the peanut butter pancakes. Some might...
