New Food Combo.... Family Loves It.

     Today was a bit different. I wasn't sure if my son would actually like this new food combo. I made Peanut Butter Cheerios Breakfast bar. It is 1/2 cup of Honey, 1/2 cup of Creamy Peanut butter and 3 1/2 cups of Cheerios. Heat the Honey and Peanut Butter on low heat until well combined and starting to boil. Take off heat and add in the Cheerios. Mix until all is covered. Put it into a greased 8x8 or 9x9 pan. I used parchment paper. Keeps the pan clean. Let sit in the fridge for about an hour or until it is fully set. I waited an hour and it worked just fine. 

    My husband had seconds on it and my son asked for a second one as well. He was very happy to eat it. It is now his favorite combo. That makes me very happy because when it comes to him eating something new it is a hit or miss. This was a hit. A very happy it. The honey in it helps it be sweet without it becoming too sweet.

    My son did wake up on his own, I got some cuddles from him this morning which was nice. That was when I finally got up from the couch I made the breakfast bars. They really don't take that long to make. A simple easy breakfast. I hope your kiddos will like it too. Unless they have allergies you can substitute the best you can when researching the best solutions to to meal.
